      Welcomes an Australia Volunteer

Australia Volunteer Program give a hand to Pandita

      · Updates

In a small reserved office in Yangon’s crowded cityscape, you can hear an unusual voice after Thadingyut holidays in 2019. “Is there anyone else?” you may ask.

Yes, she’s Ms Claire Cowman! Claire has just joined us here at Pandita Development Institute, for a six-month adventure in the hustle and bustle of Yangon. She is working with our team, providing fundraising and communications mentoring, in partnership with Australian Volunteers Program.

Claire has just joined us here at Pandita Development Institute, for a six-month adventure in the hustle and bustle of Yangon.

Claire is a willing and energetic volunteer from Melbourne, Australia. She has spent over half a decade in the non-profit sector, working for World Vision Australia in fundraising, service delivery and communications.

Growing up on the coast of Australia, Claire enjoys surfing and exploring new cultures around the world. She is already loving the incredibly unique sights, sounds and tastes (Mohinga, and Lahpet Thout!) of Myanmar.

Claire is excited to be a part of our team, as we swing into an eventful and pivotal year in Myanmar; 2020.
